We could all use a little more Chameleon

I was inspired by an Oracle Card a friend picked out today. The Chameleon. It read “Stay in the background and adapt to the situation rather than being conspicuous and attempting to direct the course of events”. Pretty powerful message I’d say. Maybe a message many people could afford to listen to right now.

Why are we so obsessed with everyone’s doings? Why do we need to worry how people act, how they budget their money, where they live, what they do for a living, how people’s spouses interact, and how clean their house is? I could add more to this list, but you get the point. Why do we need to stick our nose is other people’s business and try to direct or dictate their lives? What purpose does this serve us? Does anyone actually appreciate being interrogated and lectured? NO! So please do everyone a favour and keep yourself in check. Let’s create peace and not war.

Don’t get me wrong, I would love if everyone around me did exactly what I wanted them to do and how I wanted them to do it. I just don’t force my opinions because I like having friends and family who actually desire to be around me. Also, one could argue it would get a little boring if everyone did exactly what you wanted them to do. If I catch myself meddling, being controlling, or trying to force my point of view on someone, I stop and ask “why do I need this and what purpose is this serving?” All of the time it is coming from my ego and only serving my ego. It is a great pause and reflect tool that takes seconds and no one even notices you're doing it.

It is none of my business how anyone else lives their life. I simply choose to be me and live my life the way I desire. The cool thing is I can change how I want to live my life every second of every day, I like to spice things up for myself and the people around me!

This morning, the first card I pulled up for myself was the Moose and it read “You know what is best for you”. Your darn right I do! This card fit so perfectly with the pervious one my friend had chosen. Only I know what is best for me and only you know what is best for you. So the next time some invades your personal space physically, mentally, emotional, or spiritually, just remember the moose because only you know what is best for you and everyone else can politely suck it.
