Currently, I facilitate Chakradance twice a week. Wednesday night classes happen to be one week ahead of the Thursday night classes, which lead to some interesting dances and insights. I often find that Wednesday stirs things up for me and Thursday provides a healing outlet. This was very true when I danced the Solar Plexus and Sacral chakras in the same week. That week’s theme centered around sexual harassment and assault. It was one of the most beautiful healing experiences I had experienced with Chakradance. It is hard to describe the subtle yet powerful shifts that occurred for me that week. I journaled about it and had every intention of posting about it, but when the time came to post it, the feeling had disappeared. The story no longer held any purpose for me. It was like any hurt had vanished magically overnight.
So, this week I came to class intrigued at what might happen as I danced the Heart Chakra and then the Solar Plexus Chakra (I didn’t intend for classes not to line up, but things happen!) Both dances happened to involve me dancing with a raven. Now in Chakradance it is not unlikely to meet an animal guide, in fact I usually do. I just don’t usually meet the same one two nights in a row. So I thought, maybe I should take this message seriously. To quote some of my animal spirit guide book by Steven D Farmer:
“Magic is in the air, and something special is about to happen, pay attention to dreams and visions, especially colorful and powerful ones, as these are indicative of prophecy. In any undertaking or in any relationship, be very clear as to what your intentions are because whatever they are, that’s what will manifest. You’re gradually shape-shifting to a more confident, powerful, and spiritually based you that will continue to emerge the more you let go of your old self. You’ll observe an increasing number of synchronistic events over the next few days, so just notice these, appreciate them, and don’t try to figure them out.”
Where to begin with this passage. It holds so true to me right now and has a lot of good messages about life in general. It was like a “ah ha” moment went off. I looked back at my reflection questionnaire and one of the questions I was asking myself at the end of the night was “What am I not seeing around me that could help me?” And “What tools that are available to me am I not utilizing?” Before even knowing the meaning of the raven, I was already asking myself to be more aware of my surroundings and messages.
The other part that jumped out at me was being clear on my intentions as they will manifest. This is important all the time. What we put out there is what we receive. I desire positive relationships, positive situations, positive business practices, and so much more. Last night I really put this into practice and when I woke up, I was already noticing the shift to positivity. I look forward to practicing this even more in the coming days, weeks, and months.
Since this dance, I’ve noticed I have capitalized on small opportunities that I most likely would have ignored before. I am looking deeper into situations and insights. I am also increasing my awareness around me, but also of myself. It is so incredible all that you can gain from closing your eyes for an hour and surrendering yourself to music and the magical world around you.
