I have been trucking along in my business now for just over 3 years. I have learned a lot. More so about me than about business, which is also totally all about business. It has been an epic journey of self-awareness that keeps taking me to new and exciting places. I have been quite quiet lately on the email and blog front. I have been diving deep into learning more about me and what I am capable of and thought I would share a few Ah Ha’s with you.
No one is going to see you if you aren’t willing to be seen!!!
This is multi-faceted for me.When I first started out, I thought having a public profile on the BodyTalk website, my own website, and a Facebook page was all I needed and people would start flocking to me. Hahaha no. Not even close.I may have had these public images out in the world, yet I wasn’t willing to be seen by anyone.I was never willing to share with you much about me, nor was I willing to put myself out there in fear of criticism.Lesson #1 Are you actually willing to receive true abundance if you aren’t willing to receive being seen?
I strongly dislikes keeping to a schedule.
Everyday is a new adventure.I would like to keep it that way.I was so fixated on things in my business “having” to be done at a certain time that it removed the ME part of it.The part where I just get an awareness and go for it and don’t wait to post it until exactly 5:30pm or something along those lines.I also use to stress out about “having” to post a blog at the same time each week or month. As you can notice, it didn’t work out very well.
Just because someone says you or your business “should” be doing something, it doesn’t mean it will work for you.
People may mean well, or they may just like hearing themselves talk, but just because someone says you or your business should be doing something according to some study they saw, it doesn’t mean it will work for you.I have learned following my intuition is my best tool.I have spent the majority of my life doing what I “should” be doing and that didn’t work out well for me at all.I ended up more lost and confused than anything.
It is not about completing tasks, it is about continually putting your energy into something.
Have you ever noticed that when you complete a task the energy stops?Yup, this one is new for me too.I would have a checklist of things I would need to get done and once I completed it I thought magic would happen, but it didn’t.I stopped the flow of energy by saying it was done. Instead of continually generating, continually making choices, and creating something sustainable, I put a period on it.
Now this list could go on pages, but I have stopped it at four points. These four points are great check-in points for me. They remind me to relax, breathe, ask a question, make a choice, and repeat.
